Baidoa, Somalia – Today, the Somali Animal Advocacy and Rights Organization (SAARO) conducted a livestock treatment campaign in Baidoa as part of its ongoing efforts to enhance animal health and improve the livelihoods of pastoral and agro-pastoral communities.
The campaign delivered essential veterinary services including treatment of common livestock diseases and deworming to prevent and control internal parasitic infections. In addition, livestock owners received basic guidance on proper animal husbandry practices and preventive animal healthcare.Livestock health remains critical for improving productivity, food security, and household income within livestock-dependent communities. Through this intervention, SAARO aims to strengthen the resilience of vulnerable households by promoting improved livestock management and animal welfare practices.
