THE SOMALI ANIMAL ADVOCACY AND RIGHTS ORGANIZATION (SAARO)
The Somali Animal Advocacy and Rights Organization (SAARO) is a non-profit, non-governmental organization founded in 2017 in Baidoa, Somalia, to promote animal welfare and sustainable agriculture. Established by veterinarians, environmentalists, and community leaders, SAARO works to protect animal rights, enhance ethical livestock management, and support climate-resilient farming practices. Through education, advocacy, veterinary outreach, and community engagement, the organization strives to build a compassionate, food-secure, and environmentally sustainable Somalia where people and animals coexist in harmony.
We position our clients at the forefront of their field by advanced services.
SAARO believes in collaboration as a pathway to impact. The organization works closely with government bodies, NGOs, academic institutions, and international agencies to strengthen animal welfare and sustainable agriculture across Somalia.
